Connect your software. Reduce manual data entry.

Orders, customer details or documents can move to another program without being entered again. I check what your systems support and build a connection with data checks and visible error reporting.

EXAMPLE USE CASE

An order reaches the next system without being entered again.

A connection can retrieve agreed orders and create the corresponding records in the second system. The employee sees which transfers succeeded and which need attention.

The office handles exceptions and checks transfer results instead of entering every order again.

One transfer between two systems

  1. The order is in the store

Customer details, products and quantities are the starting point. We agree when an order is ready to transfer.

  2. Check and transfer

The connection matches products and sends the agreed information to the business system.

  3. Confirmation or a reported problem

The office sees the new record number. A missing product or a failed transfer is flagged for attention.

Illustrative scenario. We agree the application’s scope and behaviour for each company.

When the same information has to be entered twice

A quote has been approved, but someone still has to copy the customer, line items and quantities into your business software. Or an order is already in the system, while the office uses the same information to prepare a separate job sheet for production.

A connection can transfer agreed data between those tools. I first check their versions, available ways to exchange data and licence terms. Only then can I establish what can be automated and at what cost.

An example of a first integration

An approved order moves from one application to your business software. The initial scope might cover one document type sent in one direction, including its number, customer, line items and quantities. We agree how to match existing customers and products, and when a document is ready to send.

An employee should be able to see whether the document was accepted and, if it was not, what needs correcting. Sending the same order again should not create a duplicate. These behaviours form part of the agreed scope and testing.

Transfers in the other direction, price updates, stock synchronisation and a customer portal need separate decisions. Connecting two systems does not automatically mean keeping everything in them synchronised.

What we check beyond a successful transfer

  • A missing product or customer. We agree when a new record can be created and when an employee needs to decide.
  • An unavailable system. We define how to retry, report an error and find documents that did not arrive.
  • A change after sending. We decide where to update a price, quantity or status, and whether that change should reach the other system.

Before acceptance, we check these situations using agreed test data. An API or file export alone does not establish which operations a particular program allows.

Where we start and what it costs

In your first message, name the programs and describe the data you need to move between them. Do not send usernames or passwords.

Feasibility review and integration plan from €850 excluding VAT. You receive a description of the data flow, dependencies and risks, along with a proposed implementation scope and cost. If an employee or customer interface is needed, the plan also includes agreed screen sketches.

I quote implementation separately after checking the systems and data. The plan’s price is not automatically deducted from implementation. Licences, external services and ongoing maintenance have separately agreed costs.

The questions to answer before integrating business systems can help you prepare. They cover the source of each data set, the direction of transfer and what should happen after an error.

FREE ENQUIRY

Tell me which systems you want to connect.

A few sentences are enough, with no technical specification. I reply personally.

  1. A reply by email

I read your description, ask about anything unclear and tell you whether I can help.

  2. A short call if it helps

About 20 minutes, free of charge.

  3. Scope and price before any work

A paid stage starts only after you approve it.
