Jobs, deadlines and documents in one application.

I build custom applications where employees can find the information they need for a job and the office can check progress. The scope fits the way your team works and the software you already use.

EXAMPLE USE CASE

The employee has the information they need for the job.

An application can bring the request, due date and documents into one job record. The employee opens their job on a phone and records the outcome for the office.

The employee prepares for the job using one record. The office can answer the customer using the recorded outcome.

From the initial request to a record of the work

  1. The office records the request

The task, visit address, due date and attachments are kept in one job record.

  2. The employee opens their job

They have the instructions and documents needed for the work. They can record a problem or add a photo.

  3. The office sees the outcome

The completed work and the employee’s notes are available in the same job record.

Illustrative scenario. We agree the application’s scope and behaviour for each company.

From accepting an order to starting work

An order has been accepted, but its files are still in an email, details were agreed over the phone and the deadline is in a spreadsheet. An employee has to gather missing information before starting work. The office has to ask several people before it can tell the customer how the job is progressing.

A job record can bring together documents, specifications and the current stage of work. The first version could cover preparing jobs in the office and handing them to one group of employees. The example above shows a service job; a similar workflow can be designed for manufacturing, with drawings and product specifications.

What the first version could include

  • A job record. A reference number, drawing or attachment, material, quantity and agreed deadline.
  • A check for missing information. A missing dimension, document or decision is visible before the job is handed over.
  • An assignment. A named person or department receives the job with the information needed to carry it out.
  • Progress and changes. The office can see the current stage, and an employee can check who changed a deadline or job detail.

We agree which information employees enter and whether a connection to existing software is needed. Machine scheduling, time tracking, inventory management and a customer portal are separate areas to assess.

Handling changes and missing information

A new drawing arriving after work has started needs a different response from a correction made before the job is assigned. Before development, we agree who can change documents and specifications, who needs to see a change and when work should pause.

During acceptance, employees work through a typical job, a case with missing information and a change to a job already handed over. We check that each person sees the right information and can complete their part.

Scope and cost

Solution plan from €850 excluding VAT: a description of the job workflow, screen sketches, first-version scope, development cost and acceptance criteria. You can order the plan as a standalone service.

First application version from €4,300 excluding VAT. The price depends on features, user groups and connections to other software. Planning and development are charged separately, with a combined starting budget of €5,150 excluding VAT. The plan’s price is not automatically deducted from development. Maintenance and external services are quoted separately.

Before choosing software, use the job workflow checklist to establish what information is needed, who owns the next step and what should happen when something is missing.
