Quotes based on your company’s pricing rules.
I build custom applications that collect job details, calculate prices using agreed rates and prepare quote documents. The rules are tailored to your company’s products or services.

The salesperson prepares a price using agreed rates.
An application can guide the salesperson through the required inputs and calculate a price using the company’s rules. They see the cost breakdown, check the result and prepare a document for the customer.
The person preparing the quote can see what makes up the price. Subsequent quotes use the same agreed rules.
From job details to a customer quote
Inputs for the quote
The product or service, quantity and scope of work. The form collects the parameters used in the calculation.
Calculate the price
Material, labour and setup costs use agreed rates and margin rules.
A quote for the customer
The checked line items, amounts and terms go into a document in the agreed format.
Example: preparing a manufacturing quote
A customer changes the dimensions or quantity. You need to recalculate material, machine setup and production costs, then compare the new price with the earlier quote. With several separate spreadsheets, it is easy to use an outdated rate or miss an agreed exception.
A calculator for one product group can be a starting point. You enter the specifications, see the cost breakdown and prepare a quote using the same rules as everyone else in the company.
What the first version could include
- Product specifications. Material, dimensions, quantity and operations, such as cutting or bending, for an agreed product group.
- Price components. Material, setup and production costs calculated using your company’s rates and rules. The breakdown shows how the total is reached.
- A result check. The person preparing the quote can review the price components and apply agreed exceptions or adjustments.
- A usable document or export. Agreed information goes into a quote file or an export used by the office.
We agree the calculation scope and output format before development. Automatic drawing interpretation, cutting optimisation, ERP integration and production planning require separate assessment and pricing.
Quoting metal parts
If you add cutting, bending or other operations after calculating material costs, explore custom metal fabrication quoting software. It covers material consumption and waste, processing time, margin or markup, and the customer document.
What I need to prepare the plan
Once we agree to work together, useful materials include typical quotes, your rates and input from someone who knows how prices are calculated. We also review exceptions such as a minimum order value, a material change or a manual price adjustment. A description is enough for the initial enquiry; you do not need to send confidential documents through the form.
Before development, we select sample jobs with verified calculations. We use them to check the application’s calculations, its handling of changes and the resulting quote document.
Scope and cost
A solution plan from €850 excluding VAT includes a recommendation, sketches of the main screens, first-version scope, a development estimate and acceptance criteria. You can order only the plan and use it with another developer.
First application version from €4,300 excluding VAT. The proposal sets out the exact features, price and schedule. The stages are charged separately, with a combined starting budget of €5,150 excluding VAT. The plan’s price is not automatically deducted from development. Maintenance and external services are quoted separately.
To collect the requirements, use the business application brief guide. It covers calculation rules, exceptions and how to check the result.
